Phewa Lake is one of the unique natural resources
located in the Pokhara valley. This unique natural resource
coupled with the virgin peak of Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail Mountain)
and friendly and hospitable people of Pokhara have been attracting
a large number of tourists from all over the world.

Area
The
project area comprises the urban watershed of Phewa Lake. The watershed
area of Phewa Lake includes Dhikur Pokhari, Kaskikot, Sarangkot,
Chapakot, Pumdi Bhumdi and Bhadaure Tamangi Village Development
Committees in rural areas and wards no 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
and 17 of

Term of the project will be of three years duration from April 2004

between JICA &HMG/N.
