Phewa Lake

Phewa Lake is a place where many people visit daily in their leisure time for recreational purposes. Once the people visit here will be attached with the beauty of the Phewa Lake and make desire to visit it again. If the people haven't visited Phewa Lake being here in Pokhara then they have missed something. There are lots of activities going on around Phewa Lake that people don't want to come out from there. Some of the activities are mentioned below.

Boating

The Lake is surrounded by Sarangkot and Kaskikot hills on the northern side. The real beauty of the Lake is viewed from these hills and is very panoramic.
In the middle of the Phewa Lake there is a pagoda style temple named Barahi which is known as the water Goddess. The image of the Annapurna range is reflected very clearly in the Lake which attracts many tourists world wide.

Kayaking

Kyaking is also one of the activities that is done in Phewa Lake. Many rafting groups perform their skills of kayking in the Lake. They enjoy to play with the water of Phewa Lake. If anyone want to kyak in Phewa lake then kyaks are available in the Lakeside stores for rent.
Most of the tourists from all over the world loves to Kyak in Phewa Lake.

Fishing

Phewa Lake is the right destination for the people who are interested in fishing.Many people are attracted towards Phewa Lake for the purpose of fishing. We can see lots of people around the Lakeshore fishing all day long. Not only the people of Pokhara but the people from other parts of the country come here for their hobby of fishing.

Swimming

Many people love to swim in Phewa Lake because it is very natural. There is not a specific boundary like in swimming pool so most of the local people as well as tourists enjoy swimming in Phewa Lake. The other side of the Phewa Lake is famous for swimming.

Worshiping

There is a small island in the middle of the Lake where a pagoda style temple is located named Barahi which is also known as the water goddess. It is a hindu temple. Hundreds of pilgrimage visit daily for worshiping in the temple. It takes 10 minutes to reach by boat to reach that island. We can also see the Himalayan views and the Lake area from that island.
